A nice example of a Meiji Era (1868 1912) Civil Police Officers Sword of the Second Pattern. This is a very seldom found sword, which rarely come up available to market. The sword is approximately 30 long overall, with a 21 1 2 blade. The grip is covered with rayskin and wrapped in brass wire. The blade still holds an edge, and shows signs of wear and light corrosion from years of handling and storage wear. The
