This is an interesting example of a late war configuration Vietnam War North Vietnamese Army (NVA) Issue Sun (or Pith) Helmet that may be from the early post war period. This helmet has all the correct features of an early 1970s issue helmet; Low Dome profile, vinyl type chinstrap, and Green Painted Pink Fiber Suspension. This example has a star badge but the paint is nearly gone, and it reads CA for Cong An, the
