This is a lovely example of a war time or immediate post war era of a high ranking Prussian Officer of the 14th Division. Unfortunately both the artist and the officer are unknown, it does not subtract from the incredible details painted on this canvas. The frame does not have glass present nor is the painting fully secured to the frame, so swapping it out with a safer one would not be an issue if you should choose
